Rayah (Diamonds Dandy x Grey Girl)

is now senior mare at Hemmerde. Born in 1984, she is now 19 years old and has retired from driving and breeding.

Robinson (seen here at left next to Heaven)

Born in 1984 out of our foundation mare Leira by Diamonds Dandy and so very closely related to Rayah.

He is still in full harness and t great character although sometimes a little hot he would never let you down in any situation.he leading pony of our team. He is a leading pony of the team.

Grey Griffin born in 1997 at  Hemmerde. His dam is Rayah and like her  is a driving pony, now representing the fourth generation. Her dam and so his grand dam is our late foundation mare Grey Girl and therefor his name is a reminiscence of her. Griffin is a sensitive, rather small gelding who is friendly with all the other ponies at our place.

From left to right:

Newtown Haven’t a Clue (aka Heaven) and Greenwood’s Mischka. Our two blown-ins. They are  not always that much agreeing as it seems here.

Heavy was born in Ireland in 1993. His breeder is Frankie Glynn form Ballindine, County Mayo, who owns his sire Ferdia by Murphy Rebel  and dam Newtown Supreme by Tanatallon Bobby, too.  Newtown Haven’t a Clue  is the first foal of this connection but has many full siblings (mainly sisters!!) in Ireland. Since 1997 this little fellow joins us at Hemmerde. Although a little on the wild side, he is the off hand leader of our team. Next to him in the team is the much bigger and much more experienced Robinson, but Heavy works it out.

Greenwood’s Mischka was bred in at Greenwood’s stud in a mountaineous region in Germany called Sauerland. Her sire is Greenwood’s Kilroy, whose parents Killadreenan Bobby (aka Aladin by Lambay Bobby) and Bally van de Arenbosch by Carna Bobby have been the foundation ponies of that stud. Her dam is Bruntje who was by the famous show jumper Rasmus. Although her pedrigree shows that she is a true jumping pony at Hermmerde her main task will be driving. She has been with us since summer 2001 and develops to be a future lead pony for the team.

Wer will behaupten, ich sei kein Connemara!?

Claire has been given the honorary title of a Connemara Pony. (To tell the truth: She is half Welsh Section B, one quarter German warmblood and one quarter thouroughbred). She has been part of the team since 1989 and does a very good and inconspicuous job.   Born in 1986 she is a -now fleebitten- grey, what makes her a perfect match to Robinson. They are working together as a pair doing weddings and other celebrity jobs a pair is asked for.

Claire’s position in the team is in off wheel. She is the strongest of our ponies and  will pull the whole carriage on her own if needed. Last but not least she is a very popular schooling pony for younger riders.
